![]() We see Aoyama talking with his parents and we find out that he was, once upon a time, quirkless. Since it ended with an image of Hagakure, it sounded like he was talking about her, but we find out in chapter 336 that the previous chapter ended the way it did because Hagakure was spying on the actual traitor: Aoyama. JMBAD ∞ | Semi-Inactive, but getting back into it December 6, 2021Īt the end of chapter 335, All For One mentions having friends in different places. #bnha336 #aoyama Just thought I’d upload some totally regular mha screencap redraws I did for no reason :)))))))))) /5gOmBR2KZp Or maybe he really was asking for help and has been this whole time, if his breakdown during this chapter’s reveal is any indication. Seriously though, is THAT why Aoyama kept looking directly at the camera throughout the series? Because he was spying?! JMBAD ∞ | Semi-Inactive, but getting back into it December 5, 2021 I cannot fucking believe the cheese was a cry for help We won’t know if that’s the case until the next chapter, so for now, we’re operating under the assumption that it’s Aoyama.Īnd now that I think back on the manga, it … makes a lot of sense?! I dunno something about the way he looks when he’s crying looks similar to the way Toga looks when her skin is melting from when she transforms to look like another person. I mean, maybe Himiko’s posing as Aoyama? That is a possibility (though I hope that’s not the case and it is Aoyama for real). It would make sense if it were her, if not a bit obvious since she’s literally an invisible girl. **Spoilers for the My Hero Academ ia manga so far.**įor real this time, as last week we were led to believe that it was Hagakure. Now, over 250 chapters later, we finally know who it is. This seems to indicate Toru is just another girl, training to be a hero - albeit less visibly than everyone else.Chapter 83 of My Hero Academia (which is volume 10 of the manga) is the first time we hear about there being a traitor somewhere in UA. There were several instances, especially during the battle against Gigantomachia, where Toru's invisibility could have been used to harm her peers. There is also the matter that, as time goes on in My Hero Academia, Toru has had ample opportunity to hurt or betray her friends, but simply hasn't yet. If Toru were their spy, they'd probably be way more careful not to cause such incredible harm to her. ![]() ![]() Later on, during the "Paranormal Liberation" arc, Toru continues to support the Heroes along with Class 1-B, even as society crumbles around them. In addition, the League of Villains has actually put Toru in the hospital by poisoning her. ![]() Toru is typically presented as being a good team player but absolutely useless on her own. RELATED: My Hero Academia Reveals a Hidden Enemy Within Hero Society Though it's an entirely supportive role once more, she does use her abilities to deflect light-based attacks at key moments, such as when she bends Yuga's Navel Laser through several 'bots. For instance, during the "Paranormal Liberation" arc of the manga, Toru joins the Villa Backup Team. As My Hero Academia has gone on, she's also taken less and less of an active role in the story itself, becoming more of a minor character in several major arcs - other than when her ability to sneak around becomes important. While Toru does partake in fights, such as in the "Final Exams" and "Joint Training" arc, she mostly takes a supportive role. This allows her to run away and hide, once more, in plain sight. During this, Toru bends light passing through her body, creating a blinding light that can stun nearby opponents. A punch to the head? A kick to the throat? While her strength is fairly below average and she isn't particularly quick, a few surprise strikes can knock any villain prone.īut when in a bind, she can unleash her Light Refraction technique. She can take advantage of her invisibility to unleash a sneak attack on her opponents. Toru typically uses her stealth abilities to sneak around, which makes her ideal for espionage missions. She does have mass, though, her outline being discernably short and pretty slim. Her skin allows light to permeate through it, which means you can see straight through her. As her hero name suggests, Toru's Quirk means she's always invisible.
